Riley completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Sydney in 2022. He has gained experience in memory and dementia care research working in Age Lab at the MARCS Institute of Brain and Behaviour at Western Sydney University.

Riley is currently working in a group headed by Dr Euan McCaughey and will be involved in a clinical trial investigating the effectiveness of abdominal functional electrical stimulation in reducing the duration of mechanical invasive ventilation.
