Lillian Miles is a Research Assistant with the Falls, Balance and Injury Research Centre at NeuRA. She graduated in 2012 with a Masters of Exercise Physiology from the University of Sydney. Since then, Lillian has worked in a range of clinical settings providing tailored exercise programs to healthy older people and those managing a range of medical conditions and health risk factors.
Lillian joined the Delbaere research team at NeuRA in 2014 as the NSW Health – Active & Healthy Project Officer. Following that tenure, her role transitioned into a research assistant position which led her to assist with administration and management of several large-scale clinical trials including StandingTall, StandingTall-Plus and Own Your Balance.
Lillian is passionate about translating research into practice, in particular developing evidence-based falls and balance programs to improve wellbeing, quality of life and reduce fall risk in older people. Lillian believes using exercise as medicine is an integral way to improving population health.
