Dr Angus Henderson is Director of Research at NeuRA. Appointed in May 2025, he comes with deep expertise in research strategy, innovation management, and technology development. At NeuRA, his role is central to advancing research excellence, including strategy, governance, and research translation. His work focuses on strengthening NeuRA’s partnerships with industry and academia to accelerate innovation from discovery through to impact.

Prior to joining NeuRA, Angus led the Research and Innovation portfolio at Monash Health, where he established its dedicated research strategy program, strengthened its clinical research portfolio, and developed programs to support entrepreneurship and clinical innovation. He has held senior leadership roles spanning government, academia, and the private sector, including supporting establishment of major national initiatives in precision medicine and synthetic biology.

With a strong background in biomedical research and strategy, Angus brings a systems-level perspective and a strong commitment to driving research impact through innovation and collaboration.
