Nell BPsychSci(Hons), BA(Hons) is a PhD candidate and clinical researcher at UNSW, Sydney in the School of Psychology and is part of the Centre for Pain IMPACT at Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) under the supervision of Prof Sylvia Gustin. Nells work focuses on the development of a new internet-delivered emotion focussed psychological treatment for chronic pain based on dialectical behavioural therapy.
Prior to retraining in psychology, Nell had a 15-year career in high tech organisations in online media and marketing at global brands Yahoo and LinkedIn. Nells corporate experience has aided her in the development of her approach to psychology and particularly has helped inform her interest in technologically driven treatment for chronic pain.
In 2022 Nell was awarded the NeuRA PhD Pearl award, she is supported by the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship (administered by the University of New South Wales), and a supplementary scholarship administered by Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA).
