Kulvara Lapanan holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Chiang Mai University and a Master of Science in Neuroscience from National Taiwan University, where her research investigated the interplay between emotion, cognition, and pain expectation using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
She is currently a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Medicine, University of New South Wales, and Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA), supported by the University International Postgraduate Award. Her doctoral research, funded by the Stroke Recovery Association, focuses on improving balance and mobility in stroke survivors through an interactive cognitive-motor training program. Kulvara aims to translate her research into clinical practice.
