Kulvara completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Chiang Mai University and her Master of Neuroscience at National Taiwan University. Her master’s project aimed to investigate the role of emotion and cognition on pain expectation in humans by using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).

Currently, she is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Medicine, University of New South Wales, and Neuroscience Research Australia. Her research project is supported by the University International Postgraduate Award and focuses on improving the balance and mobility of people with stroke by using an interactive cognitive-motor program.
