Dr Jana Koch is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow interested in how people experience and adapt to age-related changes in sensory and cognitive function. Her current research programme includes several projects on subjective cognitive decline, hearing loss, and self-perceptions of ageing.
Jana completed her PhD at the School of Psychology, UNSW, and has previously contributed to dementia-related research at NeuRA, including a clinical trial involving people living with dementia and their family caregivers. Her research mostly draws on quantitative datasets spanning the adult lifespan, including the app-based research study ‘Resilient Minds’, but she is also interested in qualitative research methods, lived experience, and consumer involvement.
