James holds a Bachelors degree in Medical and Health Sciences (Hons I) and is currently completing his Masters degree in Brain and Mind Sciences. James’ Honours thesis in 2022 explored the imbalance of sex hormones in depression, and the effect of these imbalances on depressive severity, stress and anxiety.
James joined the ReMind Brain Health Study in 2024, to investigate changes in cognitive resilience over the lifespan. James is interested in the exploration of holistic approaches contributing to improving brain and mental health especially relating to mental disorders and how the lives of those affected can be restored back into functional order.
