William Kendall is a Research Assistant at NeuRA, where he specializes in the maintenance, differentiation, and storage of patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), neural progenitor cells (NPCs), and neurons. He joined NeuRA in March 2024, driven by a commitment to advancing mental health research and identifying the molecular mechanisms underlying anxiety and depression.

Mr. Kendall graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Science in 2020, followed by a Master’s in Medical Biotechnology in 2023 from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). During his Master’s program, he interned in Dr. Laura Bradfield's lab, where he developed cell culture techniques and contributed to establishing primary neuron and glial cell cultures to investigate the effects of induced neuroinflammation on neuronal excitation. Following his internship, he was offered a research assistant position to continue his work in neuroinflammation, supporting the team with microscopy, qPCR, and western blotting. His contributions are integral to an upcoming publication exploring links between neuroinflammation and behavioral changes, with a focus on Alzheimer’s disease.
