William joined the Schizophrenia Research Laboratory in 2022 as a UNSW Neuroscience Honours student supervised by Cyndi Shannon Weickert. His Honours thesis focused on the effects of long-term antipsychotic exposure on behavioural and molecular aspects of cognition in rats, and was awarded a First Class Honours for his work. He has since continued his research at the Schizophrenia Research Laboratory as a Research Assistant, working on multiple ongoing projects. William aims to study psychiatry in the future, and hopes that through his experience in researching the molecular biology of mental health conditions he will help close the gap between preclinical research and clinical therapies.
