Shivam Sharma is a physiotherapist and holds a Bachelor of Physical Therapy from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), India and a Master of Sports Physiotherapy from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS-GNDU), India.

He is currently an HDR candidate at the Falls, Balance and Injury Research Centre, NeuRA and Faculty of Medicine and Health, UNSW Sydney and supported by the University International Postgraduate Award (UIPA). His research focuses on developing a Low-cost, Ecological, and Accessible Perturbation (LEAP) training program designed to improve reactive balance and reduce falls in older adults for wider implementation in the community. He has a committed interest in interdisciplinary research, knowledge translation into clinical practice and policymaking.

Apart from his work at NeuRA, he works on collaborative research projects in the area of musculoskeletal injuries, and he is the Founder and Head of Movement Care Lab (MCL), a platform dedicated to evidence-based physiotherapy education and care for the community.
