Dr Geara is the mitochondrial diseases fellow with Professor Carolyn Sue. He is the recipient of the Mito Foundation grant for the 2025 clinical year.

Dr Geara is a recently qualified neurologist at Northern Beaches Hospital. He has submitted a thesis with the University of Sydney for an MPhil by research. He completed a fellowship in Motor Neurone Disease in 2024 at Macquarie University Hospital. Dr Geara is interested in all aspects of neurology. He enjoys Basketball, Jazz and Keeping up with current events.
