Dr Alice (Ruiye) Chen is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Psychology at UNSW Sydney, working within the Cutting Alzheimer’s Risk through Endocrinology (CARE) Program led by Scientia Professor Kaarin Anstey. Alice holds a medical degree from China, where she gained two years of clinical experience in a hospital setting prior to earning her PhD from the University of Melbourne. As an aspiring clinician-scientist, her interests lie in dementia risk reduction, geriatric medicine, and the implementation of evidence-based solutions to improve health outcomes and quality of life for the ageing population. Her current research investigates how endocrine and metabolic pathways influence Alzheimer’s disease risk, with a focus on translating these findings into clinical preventative strategies.
