Dr. Marcia Franco-Zambelli is a Research Associate in Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA). In this role, she manages the CAPACITY trial (a clinical trial for chronic low back pain), conducted at the Centre for Pain IMPACT. Marcia is a physiotherapist by background and completed her PhD at The University of Sydney in 2015.

In 2018, Marcia completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), focusing on the impact of physical activity interventions on falls prevention among older people.

Marcia has worked as a lecturer at the Department of Physical Therapy at University Center UNA, Brazil, and is currently working as a lecturer in the School of Health Sciences - The University of New South Wales (UNSW).
