Keith McNaughton (BEng, GDip BioMedSc, DPT) completed degrees in engineering and biomedical science before completing his doctor of physiotherapy (DPT) at Macquarie University in 2018. During his DPT his thesis looked at respiratory muscle reflex control in spinal cord injury. Keith gained experience in private practice physiotherapy as well as occupational rehabilitation before joining Dr Euan McCaughey’s team in 2020 to study how abdominal functional electrical stimulation can improve respiratory, blood pressure and bowel function outcomes in people with a spinal cord injury.
