Karly is a PhD student at UNSW and NeuRA, investigating the role of exercise and non-surgical treatments for persistent pelvic pain.
Prior to embarking on this research journey, she dedicated nine years to industry practice as a pelvic health physiotherapist (APA titled). Karly's clinical background equips me with a distinctive perspective characterized by a patient-centred approach to research. Karly is passionate about women’s hormonal and pain related conditions, their experiences, and how advances in research can improve management and quality of life for women with these conditions.
Karly's aim is to contribute to the progression of knowledge concerning pelvic pain prevention, enhanced management strategies, and potentially, the discovery of a cure.
