Our students are the leaders of the future. In our vibrant research environment, our students are supervised by internationally recognised experts in neuroscience.

NeuRA is a world-leading institute in Sydney, Australia. NeuRA is affiliated with the University of New South Wales, which is ranked in medical research in the global top 100 universities, and Prince of Wales Hospital, a major teaching hospital. Our research spans all aspects of neuroscience from the brain to the peripheral nerves and beyond. We are focused on moving our research beyond lab walls and into the community, translating our cutting-edge research into better treatments and outcomes for those who need it the most.

NeuRA has over 30 years of history in high-quality research led by over 28 established research groups. PhD, Masters and Honours students have the opportunity to study in a custom-built neuroscience facility and work in a community of world leaders.

NeuRA researchers undertaking studies that lead to a degree (PhD, Masters, Honours etc.) need to be enrolled at UNSW, who are the awarding body. To see examples of research opportunities for PhD and Honours students, download this booklet.
