After a long career as a senior journalist in the UK and Australia, including 17 years as a senior correspondent for News Corp Australia reporting from major events around the world, Tom switched focus several years ago to corporate communications in the private, government and now not-for-profit sectors. 

Before joining NeuRA Tom held the role of Senior Media Advisor at the NSW Department of Transport, one of the most demanding and fast-moving government portfolios. 

For almost four years previously he held a unique role at the A-Leagues across the communications and content arms – charged with owning the organisational tone of voice and bringing the two sides of the role together to drive awareness and engagement with the leagues’ brand and purpose.
