Research Advisory Council Director, Director the Melbourne Brain Centre, RMH and Co-Chair Australian Stroke AllianceProfessor Stephen Davis is the Professor of Translational Neuroscience at the University of Melbourne, Director of the Melbourne Brain Centre at the RMH and a Past-President of the World Stroke Organisation.
He co-chairs the Melbourne Mobile Stroke Unit program and is co-chair of the Australian Stroke Alliance. A major focus of this five-year $40 million program is the development of ultralightweight brain imaging to be deployed in aircraft and standard ambulances, and allow treatment of stroke in rural and remote locations of Australia.
His research is focused on acute therapy for both ischaemic stroke and intracerebral haemorrhage, particularly
