Peter Cousens is an award-winning actor, singer and multifaceted artist, having graced many of Australia’s major stages, captivating audiences in performances including "Les Misérables," "Miss Saigon" and notably, as the Phantom in "The Phantom of the Opera" in London’s West End, to name a few. His artistic reach extends to recording, having completed five solo albums and had notable roles on international recordings.

Currently, Peter leads the Talent Development Project as Artistic Director where he nurtures young, emerging artists and also teaches at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. His academic achievements include a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Central Queensland University and a Bachelor of Drama from NIDA.

Peter is Patron of Freedom Hub, Artistic Ambassador for Central Queensland University and an Australia Day Ambassador. In 2019 Peter was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his services to theatre and the community.
