Professor Kaarin Anstey PhD, FAHMS, FASSA, FRSN, FAPS is an ARC Laureate Fellow, Professor of Psychology at UNSW, Director of the UNSW Ageing Futures Institute, and conjoint Senior Principal Research Scientist at Neuroscience Research Australia.

Prof Anstey conducts research in cognitive aging, resilience, dementia epidemiology and risk reduction, and older driver safety. She is a member of the World Dementia Council, Vice Chair of the Governance Committee of the Global Council on Brain Health and a member of the World Health Organisation Guideline Development Group for Risk Reduction for Cognitive Decline and Dementia. In 2025 Prof Anstey was awarded the NSW Premier’s Award for Excellence in Biological and Medical Science.
