James brings over 30 years of experience in funds management and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Perpetual. He previously held senior leadership roles at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), including Head of Asia Pacific, Asia Pacific Chief Operating Officer, and International Head of Technology and Operations in London.

James has extensive expertise in distribution, product development, operations, and technology. He is passionate about fostering organisational culture and has successfully led large, diverse teams worldwide.

James holds a BA from ANU, a Financial Markets Diploma from the Securities Institute of Australia, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
