Hanshana is an Honours student within the Faculty of Science at UNSW and Neuroscience Research Australia, supervised by Dr Hayley F. North and Professor Cyndi Shannon Weickert.
Hanshana’s research focuses on understanding the intricate connections between neurogenesis and inflammation in Schizophrenia. Her research aims to inform future neurogenic therapies for neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Schizophrenia. Hanshana enjoys the process of learning bioinformatics analysis techniques to interpret large sets of valuable data.
