Alicia Brown is a Research Assistant and Exercise Physiologist at Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA), where she plays a central role in translational research aimed at reducing falls in older people. Since joining NeuRA in 2018, Alicia has managed several high-impact projects, including the redevelopment of the StandingTall program—an evidence-based, digital fall prevention intervention used by over 1,500 older Australians.

With extensive experience in project management, Alicia has led the co-design of digital health solutions with older adults, clinicians, aged care services, and software developers. Alicia is also a qualified Exercise Physiologist, delivering strength and balance classes to older adults. She holds a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology, both from UNSW. In 2021, she was named Research Assistant of the Year at NeuRA in recognition of her outstanding contributions to research delivery and participant engagement.

Beyond research, Alicia is a passionate science communicator, actively supporting NeuRA’s outreach through events, advocacy, and commercialisation strategies. She is passionate about creating user-centred healthy ageing tools that are both scalable and impactful in the real world.
