2023 Annual PhD Symposium

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to a special event to celebrate the diverse community of Neuroscience Research Australia’s (NeuRA) PhD scholars and recognise the invaluable support of our generous philanthropic sponsors in nurturing their academic pursuits.

The event begins with an afternoon tea in the cafeteria from 4 pm for our special guests, NeuRA’s PhD Pearl scholars and philanthropic sponsors, followed by the symposium presentations at 4:30 pm sharp in the John & Betty Lynch Seminar Room.

During the symposium, a select group of our talented neuroscience PhD students will rise to the challenge of a Three-Minute presentation (3MT), a cherished academic tradition where they’ll succinctly present their research in under three minutes, employing a captivating and enlightening delivery, and relying solely on a single PowerPoint slide. Additionally, a second group of talented students will showcase their prowess by presenting their research objectives and discoveries through conference posters, offering guests insight into their remarkable work before and after the symposium.

The symposium concludes at 5:30 pm, followed by an opportunity to enjoy refreshments and gather for discussion and photos.
